This annual grant supports filmmakers exploring the traditions, stories, and cultural influences shaped by French heritage in Louisiana.
From language and music to foodways and community history, they are looking for projects that reflect the vibrant cultural landscape that continues to inspire storytelling today.
The #CreateLouisiana French Culture Film Grant offers a $25,000 grant, production mentoring, and a special screening at the New Orleans French Film Festival.
Projects can range from a scripted narrative to a short or a feature-length documentary, but must focus on Louisiana’s French and Francophone culture.
Note: Must currently live in the state of Louisiana and have lived in Louisiana for 12 months prior to submitting an application. The film can be in English or French with English subtitles.
