[Enrollment OPEN] Intro to Business Grant Writing Workshop
The highly requested training is finally here. Join us for (2) live workshops in January 2023.
Hey creators!
I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving celebration.
Whether you were surrounded by family and friends, kicked off your vacation in a tropical or snowy destination, or snuggled on the couch watching Grey’s Anatomy (I’m in Season 11, BTW), I wish you lots of joy and happiness this holiday season.
For those who already know they want to join the grant writing workshop in January, secure your spot here.
For those who don’t mind story time, keep reading.
Over the past year, many Grants For Creators community members have reached out to me requesting grant writing assistance.
While I specialize in finding grants (before Grants For Creators, I worked professionally as a Grants Administrator for seven years), writing winning grant proposals is not my ministry.
Despite winning several awards, I am not a grant writer.
I’ve been praying for the opportunity to collaborate with an experienced grant writer because I want to point this community to trustworthy grant writing resources that improve our skills and increase our chances of funding.
I’m so excited to share that I’ve found our person!
Melissa Wetzel, CFRE, is a seasoned nonprofit professional with nearly 20 years of experience and has raised over $24M personally and contributed to teams raising over $200M through individual relationships and grant writing.
We met at FinCon, a conference I highly recommend financial creators and educators attend.
At FinCon, Melissa sat in the front row of my presentation, asked questions, introduced herself afterward, and we left FinCon with plans to connect.
Today, I’m excited to share that Melissa Wetzel and I have joined forces.
We are hosting a 60-minute Introduction to Business Grant Writing Workshop on Thursday, January 19th at 7 pm EST and Tuesday, January 24th, at 1 pm EST.
During this workshop, Melissa will walk us through how to use the art of storytelling to answer (3) of the most popular questions found on grant applications:
Tell us about yourself and your business.
What makes you passionate about what you do?
How would this grant make a difference in your business and those you serve?
Does this sound familiar: You have a killer business plan and are laser-focused on your vision.
Grants support will go a long way in helping you build your empire.
You connect with Grants For Creators and subscribe for grant leads. With this research in-hand, you find a good fit and are poised to submit your application.
Already daydreaming about how this grant is meant for you and how you will spend this funding, you begin to work on the application, amazed at how easy it is. That is, until just a few minutes later, when you stop dead in your tracks as you read:
“Tell us about yourself and your business.”
“What makes you passionate about what you do?”
“How would this grant make a difference in your business and those you serve?”
These questions seem straightforward, but you feel overwhelmed about how best to answer them.
After all, business grants are a competitive field, and every word counts to help distinguish ourselves from countless other submissions.
This is where we come in.
In this 60-minute workshop, Melissa will show us how to differentiate ourselves through the art of storytelling.
Using personal examples and sharing best practices from both the nonprofit and for-profit grant writing space, this session is both informative and interactive, with real actionable steps to help you develop your business grant writing skills.
By the end of this workshop, you will have the tools necessary to write a compelling personal statement, company description, and impact statement.
For Black Friday, save $20+ by enrolling in this live workshop.
