Hey creators! Hello from Nevada!
We have some big changes coming to the Grants For Creators newsletter.
Over the last year, we’ve gotten a lot of feedback about our newsletter.
While the majority of the feedback has been positive, one of the big concerns subscribers have had is not being able to seize opportunities because of fast-approaching deadlines.
Similar to job opportunities — grants are unpredictable, and may have tight deadlines. Some awards close after 50, 75 or 100 submissions. This is the reality of grants and something to be aware of.
If you aren’t familiar with how grants work, I encourage you to get caught up with my 1-hour workshop, Introduction to Grants ($17). I’ll teach you what you need to know and if this funding mechanism is right for you.
Our goal with this newsletter is to help you uncover hard-to-find funding opportunities as creatives and small biz owners. We aim to save you time on research and keep you abreast of funding possibilities.
Our small team of former grants administrators and researchers pour hours into research; last year we shared over 655 awards and spent thousands of hours prequalifying each one.
Many subscribers have received funding as a result of this newsletter and that brings me so much joy.
With that being said, effective Monday, March 20th we are upping the price of our Grants For Creators subscription from $5 per month to $10 per month. Annual subscriptions will cost $100 (instead of $60).
This newsletter is 100% backed by our subscribers who believe in our work and want to see this project continue.
Existing GFC subscribers who joined at the founder rate of $5 per month or $60 per year will not be affected as long as your subscription remains active. This price change is only applicable to new subscribers after March 20, 2023.
While we cannot control grant deadlines, as a team we’ve been working on finding a solution. We’ve decided to move to a monthly format so you have advanced notice of what’s ahead.
Moving forward we will share grants we find for the upcoming month starting with our April 2023 newsletter, which will be in your inbox in a few days.
For example, April’s newsletter will have awards from April 1st to 30th. May will have grants from May 1st to 31st, etc. Expect to receive our newsletters mid-month; the month prior.
We anticipate these monthly newsletters to have 50+ opportunities which means it’ll take longer to browse through but our digestible format will not change.
We hope moving to the monthly format will be more helpful as you plan for the month ahead. If you have any suggestions or feedback please reach out via grantsforcreators@gmail.com.
