1. George Watt Essay Contest - For Writers
Students from anywhere in the world are invited to submit an essay or thesis chapter about any aspect of the Spanish Civil War, the global political or cultural struggles against fascism in the 1920s and 1930s, or the lifetime histories and contributions of the international volunteers who fought in support of the Spanish Republic from 1936 to 1938. Work will be judged on the basis of originality, quality of research, and effectiveness of argument or presentation. Awards range from $250 to $1,000.
Deadline: July 5, 2026
2. [NEW] Leaders of Today Award - Age 30 and Younger
This $1,000 award is for anyone pursuing what they love at any scale. It is for any of us. Just an idea. A few weeks in. A few years deep. Your faceless TikTok account. The Discord you made for your friends. AI you play with at midnight. Your hobby projects. Whatever you’re passionate about, this is the funding for it. Split across eight regions so this isn't about who can shout the loudest. If you just thought “wait, does that count?”, yes. An idea. Something you started. Something you hope to start. If $1,000 would take you to the next step, this is for you.
Note: Anyone 30 or younger is eligible.

3. NEA Grants for Arts Projects - For Nonprofits
The NEA is committed to supporting excellent arts projects for the benefit of all Americans. Activities funded through Grants for Arts Projects (GAP) enable Americans throughout the nation to experience the arts, foster and celebrate America’s artistic heritage and cultural legacy, and benefit from arts education at all stages of life. They also support arts and health programs, including creative arts therapies, that advance the well-being of people and communities. They fund arts projects in the following disciplines: Arts Education, Challenge America, Dance, Design & Our Town, Folk & Traditional Arts, Literary Arts, Local Arts Agencies, Museums, Music, Opera, Presenting & Multidisciplinary Works, Theater & Musical Theater, and Visual & Media Arts. Funding ranges from $10,000 to $100,000.

4. [NEW] Art Crit Night - For Oklahoma Visual Artists
Oklahoma visual artists are invited to submit an application to be considered to participate in the Oklahoma Visual Arts Coalition's next Art Crit Night event. The next event will take place at ARTSPACE at Untitled located in Oklahoma City on August 12, 2026. Participating artists will have the opportunity to present their work, receive feedback, and connect with the community. Participation in Art Crit Night is free, and selected artists receive a $100 honorarium.

5. Pamela Tobey Award for Excellence in Visual Storytelling - For Journalists
Journalists who are redefining how stories are told for digital audiences are invited to apply for this award, a $1,000 prize and national recognition from the National Press Club Journalism Institute. This annual design award recognizes visual journalism that pushes the boundaries of storytelling beyond text and rewards creative uses of data visualization, interactivity, photography, videography, audio, illustration, and emerging tools.

6. [NEW] Alibaba.com’s CoCreate Pitch - For Small Businesses
This opportunity is the world’s largest product-based startup competition. Tell us about your business and your product. It only takes a few minutes. The General track is for established product businesses; the AI Entrepreneur track is for founders building a new product from scratch inside Accio Work. Funding ranges from $10,000 to $200,000. Prizes are split 50% cash and 50% Alibaba credits.

7. The Color Network's Monthly Microgrants - For Artists
The Color Network is pleased to offer two (2) grants of $100 per month for artists of color working in ceramics. These grants are intended to be used at the grant recipient’s discretion and are selected by lottery. Try your luck! Application requirements include a short proposal. Applications open on the first of each month and close at 11:59 PM ET on the last Sunday of each month.

8. The AXS Film Fund - For Documentary Filmmakers with Disabilities
This opportunity supports documentary filmmakers and new non-fiction media creators living with disabilities from various backgrounds, particularly those from historically underserved communities, in their endeavors to tell stories, make films, and create content. The Fund seeks to elevate the visibility of creators living with disabilities from diverse backgrounds, empower them to get recognition and job opportunities in the media industry, and support a variety of creators and a broad range of stories. Up to five creators will be awarded grants of up to $10,000 each to help them complete their projects at any stage of production.
