1. Black Community Commitment

Nonprofit organizations working to improve outcomes for the Black community are invited to apply. Any US-based 501(c)(3) organization that has been established since 2019 or prior and has an annual operating budget between $100,000 and $3 million.

2. Strategic Investment Grants

Strategic Investment Grants (SIG) provide up to $1,000 to cover expenses related to professional development, market expansion, and art events.  SIG enables artists and teachers to advance their professional careers and supports nonprofit organizations in advancing arts-related programs.

3. [NEW] The 2026 Next Stage Chicago Grant Program - For Chicago-Based Nonprofit Producing Theaters

This program is designed to strengthen Chicago’s producing theater ecosystem. It is a new special initiative that will provide funds to support organizational development and capacity building for emerging producing theater organizations seeking to scale their operations and impact. Through a competitive application process, selected participants will receive grants up to $50,000.

The grantee will be required to use the grant funds in one or more of the following areas, and applicants must select their focus area(s) in their application:

  • Organizational management

  • Marketing and audience development

  • Financial planning and development

  • Production management

  • Strategic planning

4. [NEW] NEA Grants for Arts Projects - For Nonprofits

The NEA is committed to supporting excellent arts projects for the benefit of all Americans. Activities funded through Grants for Arts Projects (GAP) enable Americans throughout the nation to experience the arts, foster and celebrate America’s artistic heritage and cultural legacy, and benefit from arts education at all stages of life.

They also support arts and health programs, including creative arts therapies, that advance the well-being of people and communities. They fund arts projects in the following disciplines: Arts Education, Challenge America, Dance, Design & Our Town, Folk & Traditional Arts, Literary Arts, Local Arts Agencies, Museums, Music, Opera, Presenting & Multidisciplinary Works, Theater & Musical Theater, and Visual & Media Arts. Funding ranges from $10,000 to $100,000.

5. [NEW] The Alden Fellows - For Louisville’s Nonprofit Executive Professional Development

The Community Foundation of Louisville believes that Louisville’s nonprofit organizations are strengthened when more nonprofit leaders have access to high-quality professional development opportunities. This opportunity is an open application for Louisville’s inspirational nonprofit executives seeking professional development or certifications. Selected executive directors, presidents, and CEOs are asked to develop a plan for their personal and professional growth that will elevate their work as a leader, benefit their organization, and impact the community. Up to $10,000 is awarded to individuals who exhibit a unique curiosity, a commitment to the Louisville community, and a sincere interest in exploring their full leadership potential.

6. [NEW] The Community Arts Program - For Bay Area Individual Artists & Nonprofits

This program ensures that vibrant work is created, new voices are celebrated, and artists and audiences, including the Bay Area’s diverse communities and cultures, have opportunities to thrive. It supports the creation of work by Bay Area artists and access to the arts for Bay Area communities. They celebrate the region’s rich diversity by awarding grants to emerging artists and small- to mid-sized arts and culture organizations that engage their communities with meaning and purpose. Applicants must be located in or serving communities in Alameda, Contra Costa, or San Francisco Counties. Grants will be awarded in amounts of $5,000, $10,000, and $15,000.
