I recently celebrated four years as a full-time solopreneur.
My journey has been deeply rewarding but far from glamorous.
A few months ago, I shared a win: I was honored as a Zoom Solopreneur 50 Honoree for my work at Grants For Creators.
Today, I’m excited to share that I was featured in a 10-part cinematic documentary series.
Chapter 3 follows five solopreneurs from completely different backgrounds and explores the real story of how to start a business when you don’t have all the answers, the early wins you can’t put a price on, the trade-offs between financial stability and freedom, and what it’s like to build something no one around you fully understands.
I share the behind-the-scenes of quitting my cushy corporate job, why it’s been worth it, and the community impact that matters most to me (creators finding and winning grant funding).
I stumbled upon this incredible opportunity to share my story after applying for the Zoom Solopreneur grant, which I shared in this newsletter.
While winning cash matters, funding opportunities often come with access to networking, mentoring, curriculum, and, in my case, a feature!
I invite you to watch Chapter 3 and binge the entire series for a deep dive into the Solopreneur Movement.
I hope it empowers you to be bold, believe in yourself, and keep going.
