1. [NEW] This American Life Production Fellowship - For Radio Production
This opportunity offers two six-month production fellowships each year, one starting in January and the other in July, based in our office in New York City. This is a paid position. Fellows earn about $6,250 a month before taxes. The offer includes benefits like health insurance and relocation reimbursement. The fellows observe and participate in all aspects of the radio show’s weekly production. They learn to structure and mix radio stories, sit in on group edits where stories are shaped, pitch stories, participate in the program’s weekly story meetings, and, yes, perform assorted menial tasks that are the true signs of any apprentice program. Fellows are encouraged to produce their pieces, including reporting, interviewing, structuring, editing, and mixing.

2. [NEW] COSOMOVERSE BIPOC Music Residency
This is a one-month music residency and Tinydesk-style performance series that elevates the work of BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Colour) emerging and established musicians. Residents are supported with a $2800 honorarium to create new work, explore collaborative processes with other residents, and develop their professional portfolio through professional documentation of their work and process.

3. [NEW] The 1619 Education Impact Grant - For Educators
This opportunity will focus support on collaborative and innovative projects that engage educators and students and lead to sustained impact beyond the individual classroom level. Educational professionals working with students and educators in K-12 learning environments are invited to apply for this grant to finance educational projects that utilize at least one resource from The 1619 Project to:
Improve the awareness and critical thinking of students and/or educators about the legacies of slavery in the contemporary United States and the contributions of Black Americans to every aspect of U.S. society
Equip students and/or educators to take action and make change that advances racial justice
Funding ranges from $1,000-$5,000.

4. [NEW] TikTok #MicroDocChallenge on #Democracy
What does Democracy mean to you? Join the TikTok #MicroDocChallenge to express your views on #Democracy. What is a #MicroDoc? TikTok wants you to experiment… be free. You can do interviews, use TikTok backgrounds and archival footage, focus on a specific matter, or keep it artsy, inspired by your favorite documentaries. 20 TikTok videos will be selected for $250 as a cash prize!

5. [NEW] 2024 VELA Micro Grants Program - For Entrepreneurs
VELA Founder Network is the nation’s leading community of entrepreneurs providing alternatives to conventional schooling. Currently, you can apply to join the Founder Network and apply for a Microgrant in one application. Microgrants are competitive grants of $2,500 or $10,000 awarded to entrepreneurs operating learning environments that are alternatives to conventional schools and programs utilized by founders and families in the alternative schooling ecosystem. VELA funding is exclusively reserved for founders, enabling families to pursue alternatives to conventional schooling as their primary learning experience.

6. American Dream Grant - For Small Businesses
This opportunity spotlights small businesses epitomizing the modern American Dream through innovative solutions, outstanding community contributions, and commitment to sustainable business practices. These prestigious awards are available to all for-profit businesses in the United States. Recipients receive a package that comprises $1,000 in funding, access to a small business accelerator, media coverage, and various other perks.

7. [NEW] Kids Garden Month Contest
This annual celebration is for kids in the garden! Each April, they host a contest to celebrate kid gardeners and highlight the many positive benefits gardening has on kids and their communities. This year, kids are being asked to share their favorite thing about gardening or why kids should garden. Entries can be from individuals, classrooms, or other groups of young gardeners. Kids ages 0-18 are eligible to participate. Eight winners will receive $250 for their school or youth garden, and one grand prize winner will receive $500 for their school or youth garden.

8. [NEW] Charles White Park Freestanding Artwork Open Call - For Artists
The Los Angeles County Department of Arts and Culture’s Civic Art Division invites artists and artist teams to submit qualifications to design, fabricate, and install a freestanding permanent artwork reflective of the importance and legacy of artist Charles White in the newly renovated Charles White Park in Altadena. This national call is open to artists residing within the United States of America. $425,000 will be awarded.

9. The Pulitzer Center's Conflict & Peace Grant - For Journalists
Journalists examine the roots of conflict and its connections with many underreported global issues, from mass migration to authoritarianism, gender violence, and the struggle over natural resources. The Pulitzer Center is eager to fund as much in-depth reporting as possible that is as safe as possible for the journalists and touches on a broad range of topics, including possible pathways to peace. If you are a journalist or newsroom seeking funding for projects covering conflict and its impact or need support due to the increased costs of reporting safely from conflict zones, please consider submitting a proposal. The funding amount was not disclosed.

10. The Make My Move Relocation Fund - For Remote Workers
This opportunity is a marketplace product that connects remote workers and other work-from-anywhere talent with communities attracting new residents. They help workers find the right place, and they help communities build and promote programming to attract those workers. Richmond, Indiana, is currently recruiting remote workers who are employed full-time and able to relocate while retaining their current position or those who are self-employed and able to relocate while retaining their current clients/portfolio. Applicants must relocate their primary residence to Wayne County, IN, within 6 months. The total incentive package provided is $7,500.

11. [NEW] The Next Black Millionaires Program
This docuseries captures the journey of three ambitious entrepreneurs as they grind daily to grow their passions into million-dollar businesses using a $100,000 grant from SheaMoisture’s Next Black Millionaires program, coaching from New Voices Foundation, and access to Target distribution. If you’ve ever dreamed of going all-in on an idea born from your passion, you’ll relate. Sign up to be notified when the next round of applications launch.
