1. [NEW] Georgia Writers’ LGBTQIA+ 2026 Literary Success Grants - For Emerging Writers
These grants are designed to encourage and amplify the voices of emerging LGBTQIA+ writers in Georgia. At a time when the U.S. government poses an existential threat to queer and trans communities all across the nation, the Georgia Writers’ Association believes it is its responsibility to resist, to continue to represent, and to celebrate queer life in the South. By supporting emerging queer writers in Georgia, they hope to make the state’s literary landscape more inclusive and vibrant.
Winners in each genre will receive a grant of $500 to give a reading at the Red Clay Writers Conference and a scholarship to the 2026 Red Clay Writers Conference (October 2026).
Deadline: April 30, 2026
