1. [NEW] The Howard Foundation Writing for Performance or Choreography Grant
The Foundation will consider proposals from early- to midcareer authors, artists, and playwrights working in any genre, style, or medium that can be classified as Writing for Performance, with a focus on playwriting, monologues, performance poetry, screenplays, and other writing intended for live or recorded performance. It will also consider proposals from artists working in any genre, style, and medium that can be classified as Choreography. The fellowship is open to generative artists who conceive and create new original work in their early-to-mid careers, generally in their 5th–15th year of professional generative artistic practice, and are clearly beyond their emerging stage. $40,000 will be awarded.
