It encourages a community-forward resource-sharing environment, mutual support, and fellowship in the Pacific Northwest arts ecosystem. Applicants must live in King County, Seattle, to apply. Funding ranges from $2,000-$10,000.

Deadline: May 1, 2024

Apply to this opportunity.

2. [NEW] Paris 2024 Cultural Olympiad Sport+Poetry Program - For L.A. County Residents

This opportunity seeks LA-based poets, songwriters, and spoken-word artists for a collaborative performance-poetry project that will be produced in conjunction with the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. The closing day of the Paris Cultural Olympiad will feature a staged event in a boxing ring specially placed on the Place du Châtelet in Paris for the thematic 12-hour long “poetry-relay” program of live poetry readings and spoken-word and sung performances with music by a wide range of artists based in France. This imminent opportunity is designed to include the participation of up to seven Los Angeles-based artists at this showcase event in the spirit of “passing the microphone” from the Paris 2024 Games to the Los Angeles 2028 Games. $200-$5,400 in funding will be provided.

Deadline: May 9, 2024

Apply to this opportunity.

3. Illinois Humanities Vision Grants - For Illinois Nonprofits

These grants are intended for smaller organizations, and applicants must have an annual budget of $1 million or less.

4. The 2024 Fiction Podcast Competition

This opportunity seeks audio series in the Horror, Thriller, or Romance/Soapy space focusing on Millennial or Gen-Z women. Realm is looking for pilot scripts with a rough page count of 25-40 pages. This pilot should establish the world of the show, the primary character and a sense of the journey they will go on, and the stakes and tone of the show, as well as evaluate it for audio-forwardness. Scripts should be already adapted for audio; they are not currently evaluating screenplay or teleplay material. Winners will receive a $1,000 cash prize and a $500 travel reimbursement to attend the 31st annual Austin Film Festival, which will occur October 24 – 31, 2024. In addition, Realm executives will have one-on-one meetings with fellowship winners and provide script feedback.

Deadline: May 24, 2024
