If there’s one thing I’ve learned over the last few years, it’s this:
You don’t have to fund your creative dreams ALL out of pocket.
When I first started applying for grants, I had no idea how much they could change what was possible for me as an indie creator.
In fact, many of the projects I’ve won grants for would not have come to life without additional support.
Seeing the results of grant funding convinced me to keep going.
Grants gave me breathing room.
They gifted me time, tools, and resources I could not justify paying for without overextending myself.
They also helped me develop projects the way I envisioned them, without shrinking my vision to match my bank account.
Note: Always double-check with each grant funder what expenses are allowable. Every grant is different. Make no assumptions.
