1. [NEW] The TiE Women Program 2026 - For Women Entrepreneurs

This incredible opportunity is for women founders to showcase their innovative business ideas on a global stage. If you are a woman entrepreneur with a passion for innovation and a drive to make a difference, you’re encouraged to apply to participate in this prestigious program. Whether you are in the early stages of launching your startup or have an established business looking to scale, this competition offers a platform to gain visibility, network with industry leaders & investors, and access mentorship. Up to $50,000 will be awarded.

2. [NEW] Patriot Pitch Competition - For Small Businesses

This competition offers up to $400,000 in awards (ranging from $75,000 to $400,000) to support innovative small businesses. Selected businesses will be invited to participate in a live pitch competition in Washington, DC, in September 2026.

Note: Minimum of 3 years in operation with a gross revenue of at least $100,000 annually. Must actively drive innovation, leveraging new technologies or strategies to modernize its operations or strengthen its competitive edge.

3. [NEW] Jobber Grant - For Blue Collar Businesses

This opportunity provides grants recognizing blue-collar businesses looking to grow to the next level or innovate on how services are delivered. Recipients have used a grant to level up operations, implement innovative team and customer programs, purchase equipment, invest in team expansion, and pursue larger opportunities. Jobber Grants will award $250,000 across 9 recipients, including one $100,000 grant, one $50,000 grant, two $25,000 grants, and five $10,000 grants.

A blue-collar business, also referred to as a home service business, provides a one-time or recurring install, repair, maintenance, or mobile services to clients at residential or commercial properties. Examples include landscaping, residential and commercial cleaning, contracting, painting, HVAC, plumbing, pool maintenance, and mobile car detailing.

4. [NEW] The Montgomery Thriving Small Business Grant Program

This program is designed to move Montgomery’s small businesses forward—quickly and strategically. Funds can be used to support activities that help businesses grow and become more sustainable, including:

  • Capital improvements and renovations

  • Business expansion or relocation

  • Retaining, stabilizing, and expanding workforce

  • Long-term sustainability of commercial location

  • Operational stability and growth

These investments are intended to help businesses build capacity and strengthen operations for long-term success. Applicants must have 1–50 employees, generate $5 million or less in annual revenue, be a for-profit business in good standing, and currently operating in Montgomery County. Funding ranges from $10,000 to $75,000.

5. [NEW] The Regional Awards of the Cartier Women’s Initiative - For Women-Owned Impact-Driven Businesses

These awards are seeking women-owned, women-led, impact-driven businesses. Entrepreneurs across all sectors and geographies are encouraged to apply. Applicants with disabilities are encouraged to apply; every effort will be made to include them appropriately. To be considered for this award, the applicant and the applicant’s business must meet the following eligibility criteria: The applicant must be a woman, must fill one of the main leadership positions, must demonstrate a positive impact, be early-stage and for profit, and generating revenue from the sales of its products and/or services for at least 1 year. Funding ranges from $30,000 to $100,000.
